How does it work?

It’s simple. You just need to provide us with some basic information about your ancestor, such as their name, date of birth, where they lived, and military service details such as branch of service. You also need to send us one or more photographs of your ancestor that you want us to colourize and animate. To achieve the best results, we will need a portrait photograph of your ancestor (head and shoulders, looking directly into the camera). We will then conduct thorough historical research on your ancestor, using various sources such as military records, newspapers, books, and online databases. We will also use our expertise as military historians to place your ancestor’s service in its historical context.

Having completed the research phase of the project, we will produce a detailed report on your ancestor and their military service. We will illustrate our research with photographs, drawings, and maps, where available.

Based on our research, we will write a script for your ancestor, using their own words and expressions as much as possible. We will then use AI tools to colour and animate the photographs of your ancestor and give them a voice that matches their age, gender, accent, and tone.
